Monique’s favorite thing to do since she was 18 months old was sing. She would even harmonize with her grandpa starting at the age of 3! Music was a part of her life from the moment she can remember… it’s always brought her immense joy.

At a young age she got involved in theatre and dance, and her pursuit for the arts continued into college where she studied Musical Theatre at The University of Michigan. There, she was the first of her major to win the esteemed Concerto Competition Award.

Her professional career started in New York City where she worked in Equity Theaters and recorded for The Disney Channel- then she took a creative turn when she moved to Austin, Texas, and got involved in the live music scene. She soaked up the opportunities to sing a plethora of styles that always excited and challenged her.

Along the way, her love for yoga began out of some immense personal struggle, and she received her 200HR Teacher Training Certificate in 2014. Once she started teaching, an overwhelming enthusiasm towards her students began to grow and an opportunity to give them a healing, happy and powerful class became a deep passion. Then, she incorporated her singing into the ends of her classes, and the worlds combined beautifully.

Now, she finds the most fulfillment from singing in Austin with some of the finest musicians, and connecting with the yoga community all in one fell swoop. She even married the man of her dreams, a fellow Michigan Alum, and has a beautiful baby girl! She is thrilled to be in Austin pursuing the things she loves.
